SYNOPSIS THE ALPHA is an action story about a disgraced, aging soldier named John Miller who's now head of security at a remote military weapons laboratory run by the Zentek Corporation. Unbeknownst to Miller, the laboratory houses a project that involves creating super-soldiers from children; a project that has been underway for decades. The first subject of the project is now fully matured, but all of the subjects are extremely unstable and practically unstoppable. When the laboratory is attacked from the inside by unknown forces, Zentek calls in an elite team of soldiers lead by an old nemesis of Miller's named Sean Ranson who served under him in the special forces some 20 years prior. Ranson worked on the Zentek project during its inception, but he was reassigned by Zentek after his methods proved ineffective. The company's primary concern is that the subjects not escape so Ranson's team is tasked with recovering the adult super-soldier and the children, eliminating the entire staff of the laboratory, and destroying the facility. While looking for survivors from the initial attack, Miller finds a disoriented technician with knowledge about the project. However, the true identity of this technician is called into question later when he begins to exhibit abilities similar to those of the super-soldiers.
